Tracy Beckett is a senior executive with more than twenty years’ experience in education management and administration across multiple education enterprise divisions and private, public and NGO/NPO business sectors in the United Kingdom, South Africa and the USA.

Ms Tracy G. Beckett
Before joining UWC, she was the former Programme Manager for the Instructional Leadership Institute (ILI) in the Educational Partnerships Group (EPG), an international NPO education consultancy within the UK’s Absolute Return for Kids (ARK): a charity that aims to transform children’s lives through education around the world.
As a qualified secondary school teacher, she began her career with an NGO, the Project for Alternative Education in South Africa (PRAESA- UCT) in language and literacy education in low-income primary schools in the Western Cape. Before returning to South Africa, Tracy served as Managing Director of the Africana Research Center, at The Pennsylvania State University, USA. While there, she was adjunct faculty in the ESL/Applied Linguistics department teaching courses at both undergraduate to graduate level. She completed doctoral courses in Applied Linguistics at Penn State University (USA) and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Sociology and Afrikaans/Netherlands, a Higher Diploma in Teacher Education, and a Master’s degree in Applied Language and Literacy Studies from the University of Cape Town. Passionate about education, she is here to serve and advance all people in South Africa to find a place in the global world.
