In his current position, he directs Bucknell University’s study abroad programs, including study abroad partnerships and portfolio management, as well as campus internationalization.

He is an active member of NAFSA: Association of International Educators where he has served in various leadership positions including, Chair of the Education Abroad Knowledge Community (EAKC) Diversity and Inclusion Committee, Chair of the Africa Member Interest Group, and Partner in the NAFSA Africa Global Dialogue Fellowship Program. Dr. Appiah-Padi is currently serving his second term on the NAFSA Board of Directors.
