SPEAKER BIO

Janice K Moodley

Janice Moodley (PhD) is a psychological practitioner and senior lecturer in the Department of Psychology at the University of South Africa. Her research is critically orientated and challenges the discursive interactions between psychology, health, gender, racial inequalities and politics within the global South.

In addition to serving on the Department of Psychology’s Executive Committee, as a member of the College of Human Science’s Research and Ethics Committee, and as a member of the University’s Student Disciplinary Committee, Dr Moodley has been newly appointed to the Curriculum Transformation Unit at the University of South Africa. She also serves as an International Representative on the Executive Committee for the International Society of Critical Health Psychology.
