Asanda has been involved in the higher education landscape in different capacities for the past 15 years. She is acting as the Deputy Director of International Students Services at Nelson Mandela University.
Her current responsibilities include the planning and implementation of all aspects relating to international students administration, immigration and support services. She holds a Masters Degree in Development Studies. Her interests lie in the internationalization of higher education, migration and development. As such she is actively involved in research in these areas.
